💵 PAYMENTS & SESSION FEES
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total session cost is required at the time of booking to reserve your session. This amount is applied toward your final balance.
The remaining balance is due on or before the date of the session.
- Accepted payment methods: Cash, Credit/Debit Card (5% card fee), Venmo, CashApp. (Checks are not accepted.)
- For family sessions, the package includes up to 4 participants. Any additional participants are subject to a $15 fee per person, payable upfront.
- Overtime Policy: If a session extends beyond the scheduled time and the Photographer is available, additional time may be approved verbally and billed at $0.75 per minute, with a minimum of 15 minutes. This amount will be added to the final invoice. (This usually does not apply, especially if the vibes are good and so are the pictures!)
- All session fees must be paid in full before any final images are delivered, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Rush Delivery Option:
Base fee: $20
Additional fee: $7 per day for delivery earlier than the standard 14-day delivery timeframe.
Full rush fee must be paid in advance, and approval is required before expedited editing begins.
📅 SCHEDULING, CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
The deposit is non-refundable, including in cases of no-shows, cancellations within 48 hours of the session, or late arrivals exceeding 15 minutes.
Clients may request to reschedule at least 48 hours in advance. Approval is at the Photographer’s discretion.
Rescheduling due to weather, emergencies, or illness may be granted without penalty, at the Photographer’s discretion.
A 15-minute grace period is granted for tardiness. Arrivals later than 15 minutes may result in cancellation without refund or continuation with a late fee.
Reshoots requested for reasons unrelated to Photographer error (e.g., client preference, styling issues, or external conditions) will require a new appointment or incur an additional fee.
The Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, emergency, weather, or force majeure events beyond their control.
The Photographer is not liable for weather-related delays but will make all reasonable efforts to promptly reschedule the session.
📂 IMAGE DELIVERY, GALLERY ACCESS & FILE HANDLING
Clients will receive __*however many useable images are taken within session time*__ professionally edited, high-resolution digital images.
Final images will be delivered via online gallery within 14 calendar days of the session.
Unedited (RAW) files will not be provided.
The Photographer will deliver only the best images, selected at their sole discretion. Not all images captured during the session will be edited or delivered.
Rush delivery must be pre-approved, paid in full in advance, and is subject to availability.
The final image gallery will be delivered to the booking client or the legal guardian (in the case of minors). Requests to share the gallery with additional parties must be made in writing and may be subject to a fee.
Clients are strongly advised to download and back up all files immediately upon delivery. The Photographer is not responsible for storing files beyond 30 days after the gallery has been delivered.
The Photographer is not responsible for missed deadlines due to last-minute bookings or delays caused by failure to communicate necessary timelines in advance.
Clients are discouraged from taking screenshots of gallery images to preserve image quality (save the images per instructions in gallery).
🎨 Editing Style
By booking with Branded Shutter Photography, clients acknowledge and agree that images will be edited in the photographer’s creative style and artistic vision. Editing styles may include adjustments to color, lighting, contrast, and tone consistent with the brand’s aesthetic. RAW/unedited images will not be delivered, and additional editing requests may be declined or subject to extra fees.
📘 COPYRIGHT & USAGE RIGHTS
- All images are the intellectual property of the Photographer, who retains full copyright.
- Clients are granted a personal-use license for the delivered images.
- Images may not be sold, published, or used for commercial purposes without the Photographer’s prior written permission.
- Commercial usage (e.g., for advertising, branding, or promotional campaigns) requires a separate licensing agreement and an additional fee.
📍 Location Access & Travel Fees
Clients are responsible for securing permission and covering any required fees for session locations unless otherwise discussed. Travel within a certain distance may be included, while sessions outside of the included travel area may require an additional travel fee. Any travel costs will be discussed and agreed upon before booking confirmation.
🧍 CLIENT CONDUCT & SESSION EXPECTATIONS
- Clients are expected to communicate any physical, personal, or comfort-related boundaries prior to or during the session.
- The Photographer maintains the right to set and enforce professional and personal boundaries during the session.
- The session may be paused or terminated without refund in the event of disrespectful, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for the behavior and supervision of minors at all times.
- The Photographer is not responsible for missed moments due to tardiness, uncooperative participants, or venue restrictions.
- Guests who use phones or cameras may disrupt the session; the Photographer is not liable for image quality affected by such interference.
- No additional photographers (professional or amateur) are allowed at the session.
- Clients are encouraged to arrive camera-ready, including appropriate hair, makeup, wardrobe, and grooming. The Photographer is not responsible for dissatisfaction due to appearance or styling.
- When sharing images online, clients are asked to tag @branded.shutter.photography and avoid altering the final images to preserve professional presentation.
📷 MODEL RELEASE
- I DO grant permission to use images and/or behind-the-scenes footage for the Photographer’s portfolio, website, social media, marketing, or publications.
- Note: No compensation will be provided for image usage.
🧒 MINOR POLICY (IF APPLICABLE)
- If the session involves minors under the age of 18, the signing parent or legal guardian affirms they have legal authority to consent.
- The Photographer may communicate with the minor client (e.g., teens) to ensure comfort, direction, and collaboration. Final decisions, however, rest solely with the signing legal guardian.
- Unless stated in writing, permission is granted to use the minor's images for portfolio or promotional purposes.
⚖️ LIABILITY, SAFETY & LEGAL TERMS
- In the unlikely event of total equipment failure, loss of data, or cancellation by the Photographer, liability is limited to a full refund of the session fee.
- The Photographer is not responsible for dissatisfaction resulting from the client's wardrobe, styling, or grooming decisions.
- Clients and any accompanying guests participate at their own risk and are expected to behave safely and responsibly throughout the session.
- The Photographer is not liable for personal injury, accidents, or property damage incurred before, during, or after the session.
- This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any disputes shall be resolved within the courts of Caro, MI.
- No verbal modifications to this agreement shall be considered valid. All changes must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
